Aluna Quadri alongside other Nigeria table tennis representatives in persons of Funke Oshonaike, Offiong Edem, and Olajide Omotayo were eliminated from the ongoing 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

Quadri who has been the man standing at the ongoing Tokyo Olympics has been knocked out; been the only Nigeria left in the game after Edem gave a bow has lost to Brazilian, Gustaro Tsuboi.

Aruna’s exit was a shocking one and increased the level of distress the team Nigeria is facing at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

So far, Aruna is 25 in terms of world ranking and was also part of then Nigeria team that won bronze at the 2014 common wealth Games and also won the outstanding sportsman of the year awards at the 2018 Nigerian sports award.

History has it that Aruna has been defeated on several occasions but yet it does not put a stop on his passion to keep grading.
