On 9 May, 2018; a kit deal contract between the Nigeria Table Tennis Federation (NTTF) and German-based producing company Gewo for three years was signed. It was disclosed that the Nigeria Table Tennis Federation president, Ishaku Tikon completed the negotiation deal with Florian Wehner a representative of Gewo at the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) World Team that was held in Halmstad, Sweden.

The president stated that the details from the deals disclosed that ITTF accepted the types of equipment that will be provided by Gewo from 2018-2020, support junior tennis players with clothing blades and rubbers and will also take care of expenses of two Nigerian players in Europe every year.
